Congrats to BIT staffers for their selection to the vExpert list for 2014!

Two out of 754 worldwide selected to be on the list of VMware experts are right here in our own South Dakota BIT family.  Yesterday it was announced that Bonnie Bauder and Rick Jensen have been chosen to be on the vExpert list for 2014.

vExpert is a global recognition provided by VMware for having demonstrated significant contributions to the community and a willingness to share expertise with others. The vExpert group is responsible for much of the virtualization evangelism that is taking place in the world — both publicly in books, blogs, online forums, and VMUGs (VMware User Group); and privately inside customers and VMware partners.

Through an application process, this is the second year Bonnie has been chosen and Rick's first.  The judges selected people who were particularly engaged with their community and who had developed a substantial personal platform of influence in those communities. The BIT staff are engaged mainly around their VMware User Group (VMUG).  Bonnie leads the South Dakota chapter of VMUG and was also on the VMUG Board of Directors Nominations Committee.  Rick is on the South Dakota VMUG steering committee and helps plan and run the meetings.
