Wireless Network Infrastructure

Wireless services are available across South Dakota in many state offices and conference areas. Wireless networks allow state government employees access to the same network resources available via our wired infrastructure.

These wireless services also provide the benefit of mobility and instant access to employees who may be visiting a location and need access to IT resources.

As IT mobility becomes an ever increasing part of daily business, the demands on the state’s wireless infrastructure will continue to increase. During the month of January, 3,013 unique wireless devices connected to the network, with a one-time maximum of 1,035 authenticated clients on the network.
