New Hewlett Packard (HP) Products

There are two new Ultrabooks (super-lightweight laptops) and an Elitepad product (an iPad style Windows 8 device) that will be arriving from Hewlett Packard (HP) shortly after the new year. BIT is evaluating these products for possible placement on state contract. Below is an overview of each of these new products.
  • HP Ultrabook 9470M
This is a new super-lightweight laptop that replaces the Elitebook 2560P on contract. The 9470M has a 14" screen, an i5-3427u processor, 8GB of DDR3 RAM, and a 180GB SSD hard drive. What makes this laptop special is the 13"x9"x.75" dimensions and its 3.6 pound weight which makes it a great option for traveling. There is a docking option available for this device that will give you a CAT5 network connection, 4 USB ports, speaker and microphone ports, and dual-monitor capabilities.

  • HP Ultrabook 2770M
This version of the Ultrabook series is a touch-screen tablet PC that replaces the 2760P tablet on contract. Please note: At the time this article was published, no specifications were available from HP on this product.
