The newest versions of the Information Technology Security Policy (ITSP) have been published and we’d like to highlight several new sections that were added to policy 230.36 Email.
The first new section specifies that legally protected data can only be emailed using the State's secure email solution. There are three exceptions - the following types of protected data cannot be emailed or attached to an email.
The last new policy section specifies that when an employee leaves State employment, their email accounts must be deleted. Requests to delete the account must be submitted to the Help Desk by supervisors at least 10 working days prior to the employees last day.
Keep checking back! We will continue to highlight new policies in future blog articles. To read the full text of the policy, click the ITSP icon on your desktop and navigate to policy 230.36.
