On Sunday, November 18, 2012, the BIT Network Technologies team will be
completing an upgrade to the Pierre campus backbone network. This maintenance
window will take approximately 10 hours to complete in which most major systems
will be unavailable, including but not limited to: state email, file servers,
mainframe access, state radio CAD system, Internet access, sd.gov, the student information system, Voice Over IP
Telephony (VoIP), Virtual Private Network (VPN), Netmotion.
All state
government employees statewide will not have access to these systems during
this time.
Due to the complexity of the maintenance, all network
communications (as listed above) will be disrupted.
