Intern Orientation 2013

Earlier this morning, BIT leadership staff hosted an intern orientation meeting for the 11 summer interns we have working for us this season.

David Zolnowsky, BIT Commissioner, kicked the meeting off by welcoming everyone and providing an insight and overview into BIT and its governmental duties. Jim Edman, BIT Deputy Commissioner, also welcomed everyone and provided a briefing on our internal policies.

Jim Edman continued into a more detailed discussion, with Pat Snow, about the importance of security in the enterprise with a short video clip and items to be aware of including access to the state network, email, social media platforms and the Internet. Tony Rae shared a story about his journey through BIT and the different career opportunities available within state government. Finally, we discussed cross divisional exposure to ensure these interns get the most out of their summer internship with BIT.
